Bio
Andrew is the Founder and CEO of The Deering Group. A Leader in Operations and People, Andrew has spent more than 20 years in leadership roles, delivering organisational development programs and leading transformational change. He has built teams from the ground up that had the capability to deliver programs competently and safely, often in short timeframes and high-risk environments.
Andrew has lead The Deering Group to become Australia’s leading experts in large organisational transformational capability and change programs. An innovative and forward-thinking group of experts, Andrew and his team have delivered programs to organisations and teams across Australia.
Some of the organisations Andrew has worked with include BP, Origin Energy, Shell, Todd Energy, MPC Group, APA Group and ERGT Australia.
Bio
Louise uses her expertise to design tailored learning and development programs to the needs of the workforce and the organisation. She leverages technology and delivery methods to meet unique needs, and ensure even the most remote locations have effective training programs and competent teams.
Louise’s experience crosses several industries including oil and gas, mining and resources, engineering and construction, and defence. From high-risk environments to administrative settings, Louise has delivered highly effective solutions that have engaged the team, increased competency, created a safer environment – and improved performance.
Bio
Kim’s experience in operational learning and change management, combined with a strong background in communications means she can easily and comprehensively identify, develop and implement change, communication and training plans. She has designed and developed many competency/skills and training matrices, as well as built training material for a variety of adult learners. Kim is a passionate educator and entertaining facilitator and can adapt training methods (e.g. face-to-face delivery, skype/zoom, demonstration videos, etc) to meet a variety of organisational scenarios such as a remote or geographical dispersed workforce if required.
Kim also understands the vocational education and training sector and all things related to the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). She has been a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Manager several times and has co-led many regulatory audits. Kim is also an English as a Second Language Teacher so she can help design learning/training that is suitable for people with low literacy and numeracy levels.
Kim has led and worked as part of a large project/program team, which has included a variety of discipline/functional and business leads. She has an exceptional eye for detail, and a genuine desire to collaborate with others to build relationships, implement change and build end-user capability through pragmatic solutions. As a change leader, Kim is capable of building a desire and motivation to change amongst stakeholders, and monitor the efficiency/effectiveness of learning and change management approaches (mainly Prosci ADKAR). As a project manager, she can develop both strategic and tactical plans if required. She possesses a strong ability to provide robust leadership during times of change and is able to operate swiftly and precisely in a fluid environment, rebuilding plans quickly if the direction changes.
Kim is a hard worker, with a great sense of humour. She likes to be productive and is considered a ‘finisher’ who meets all performance objectives. Kim also has an interest in all things safety-related, and actually likes reading and interpreting legislation. She doesn’t mind jumping in and getting her ‘hands dirty’ if required.
Kim holds the following qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Masters in Professional Studies (Adult Education and Sociology)
- Graduate Diploma in Asian Studies
- Postgraduate Diploma ins TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
