Preparing for the Conversation

This podcast takes the format of an informal conversation. For that reason, there are no pre-set questions. Instead, we ask you to think about the concept of Better People, Better Business and consider one or two topics you might talk about in this space.

We allow an hour for our podcast recordings to ensure there is time and space for the conversation to flow and your genius to shine.

We want your podcast appearance to be engaging and conversational. We encourage you not to read from a script or notes. This will help you avoid sounding scripted and keep the flow of the conversation natural and engaging.

What We Need From You

  • The title you use to position yourself, e.g. People and Leadership Expert.
  • A short intro Andrew can use to introduce you in the recording.
  • A high resolution headshot.
  • A high resolution logo if you wish us to use that in our promotional materials too.

Please email these to sbell@thedeeringgroup.com

The Technical Stuff

What system will you use?

The interview is recorded as video and audio through Zoom. You will be sent the link upon your confirmation. Please ensure your Zoom camera settings are set to High Definition and audio is set to maximum noise suppression.

Sound quality

The sound quality is the single most important aspect to this podcast.

We want the podcast to be a conversation you’re proud of, provides people a unique insight into yourself, and is something you would want others to hear. We recommend:

  • Access to a quiet room where the acoustics of the room won’t echo.
  • If you have them, a good quality speaker, earbuds or headphones that connect to your laptop.
  • If you have one, a USB microphone.

Your camera and background

Video is a secondary feature of this interview, as we market it as a podcast. However, we do share the video on YouTube and Instagram as well.

If you have a webcam, please use it so we can optimize the quality of the recording.

It’s also a great idea to think about the background in your room, and make sure it’s clear of clutter and anything you don’t want people to see!
